talented chefs. Mina now has 20 restaurants nationwide and San Francisco is home
to 4 of them. Believing that balance is the key to creating a memorable dish and
a fantastic dining experience, Mina’s restaurants provide an experience for all
the senses, from his creative menus to the aesthetic design. And in San
Francisco, no one does it better than RN74.
Located just south of Market on the ground floor of Millennium Tower, RN74 is
aptly named for the main highway that runs through the Burgundy wine region of
France. Inspired by European rail stations, the urban wine bar and restaurant is
spectacularly designed by New York-based design and concept house AvroKO,
including a train-style reader board listing the last bottle of that particular
wine available. Drawing on wine director Rajat Parr’s passion for Burgundian
wine and culture, his expansive wine list is the focus of RN74. Parr also
believes in a harmonious marriage between food and wine; one is not complete
without the other. With Mina in the background, Executive Chef Jason Berthold
creates a menu of modern French-American fusion to complement Parr’s wine list.
Berthold pays each ingredient the respect and enthusiasm it deserves, leaving
room to showcase the wine (it’s all about balance, remember?). Believing fine
wine and dining should be enjoyable, not intimidating, Mina’s RN74 celebrates
wine with a chic, laid-back style.
